PDF Editor

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-04

This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Editor ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use the application. We designed PDF Editor to do as much as possible on your device, so the short version is: your documents stay on your device.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not upload, copy, or store the contents of your PDFs on our servers.
  • We do not require an account or sign-in to use the core features.
  • We do not sell or rent any user data.

Information processed on your device

Editing, signing, merging, and compressing operations run locally on your device. Files you import are read from the location you choose and written back to a location you choose. The app does not transmit those files elsewhere.

Diagnostics and crash reports

If you opt in, the app may send anonymized crash reports and basic usage diagnostics (e.g. device model, OS version, which feature crashed) to help us fix bugs. These reports do not include the contents of your documents. You can disable diagnostics at any time in the app's settings.

Permissions

PDF Editor may request the following permissions, only as needed:

  • Files / Storage — to open and save the PDFs you select.
  • Camera — only if you choose to scan a document or photograph a signature.
  • Photos — only if you choose to insert an image into a PDF.

Third-party services

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those platforms collect information according to their own privacy policies (for example, purchase records and basic install metrics). We do not control that data collection.

Children's privacy

PDF Editor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app.
